Tabletop Room Hosts

Responsibilities: Hosts serve as shift leads for the tabletop game room. In addition to serving as a monitor when necessary, the host greets entrants to the Tabletop Room, facilitates demos and ad-hoc organized play as necessary to promote energy and fun in the game room, and circulates and engages with players and moderators to take the tenor of the room.

Tabletop Tournament/Organized Play Area Head

Tournament/Organized Play Area Head (TOP) works closely with the Gaming Division Head and the Tabletop area head to coordinate the operation of games run by official sanctioning bodies (Magic: the Gathering, D&D Adventurers League, Pathfinder Society, ENVOY, Wrecking Crew) and to facilitate games tournaments and other prize-bearing events.

Team Arisia Headquarters Staff

Responsibilities: Arisia is a 100% volunteer-run convention that boasts an amazing staff of dedicated, awesome people. Help out at Team Arisia Headquarters by greeting existing staff and potential volunteers. We are looking for friendly, helpful people to log volunteer hours in spreadsheets, re-stock supplies, and help promote volunteering throughout the convention.

Team Arisia Services Assistant Division Head

Team Arisia Services is responsible for assisting with providing areas with volunteers, managing volunteer time sheets, distributing volunteer swag at the convention, and answering volunteer questions.

Tech Brainstorming & Planning Staff

Arisia Tech supports Programming and Events with all sorts of theatrical technology. This year will bring many changes. In order to be prepared, we’ll need to plan ahead and probably make changes from how things were done in the past.

Volunteers are needed to help design and plan how Tech will operate for the upcoming Arisia 2022 convention.

Technical Services Point of Contact Staff

Arisia Tech supports Programming and Events with all sorts of theatrical technology during the course of the convention, including setup and teardown.
Volunteers are needed to be the communication point of contact for Tech Division for assigned shifts during the convention.

Shifts are primarily during the convention, though some pre-con shifts may be available.

Video Game Area Head

Requirements

Pre-con: Act as liaison with Video Game Room contractor, enter in room reservations for contractor, arrange the contract with contractor.

At-con: Meeting contractor at loading docks for load-in, facilitate move-in and hotel room pickup. Check in with contractor a few times a day to monitor Video Game Room status and address any needs that come up.

Pre-con: Video Game Room layout planning, scheduling games, paperwork for processing volunteer hours/complementary memberships.

At-con: Monitor Video Game room, fill in for unavailable staff when needed.

Must be able to respond to email, texts, messages at con.

Familiarity with various video games a plus.

This is a pre-con and at-con position.
